Clean Energy Ministerial
The Clean Energy Ministerial (CEM) is a partnership of the world’s largest and most forward-leaning economies working together to accelerate the global transition to clean energy, The CEM focuses on sharing best practices and promoting policies and programs to scale the deployment of the clean energy technologies and solutions that are available today.
Together, the 24 CEM member countries and the European Union account for about 90 percent of global clean energy investments and 75 percent of global greenhouse gas emissions. They recognize that clean energy is a vital driver of economic growth, emissions reductions. energy access, and energy security. Current CEM members are Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Denmark, the European Union, Finland, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Norway, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
The CEM pairs annual minister-level dialogues with year-round initiatives and campaigns to provide a powerful combination for clean energy policy and technology deployment.
